Economic Impact of Regional Airports

An economic impact study began at Wick John O’Groats Airport - nestled in the far north of the mainland of Scotland in Caithness and Sutherland and offers unspoilt natural surroundings within small, enterprising communities.

 

An economic impact study began at Wick John O’Groats Airport (which is nestled in the far north of the mainland of Scotland in Caithness and Sutherland and offers unspoilt natural surroundings within small, enterprising communities) on 24th August.

Questionnaires are being issued to all passengers using the airport and will capature data in these 4 areas:

– Tourist and leisure visitors

– Business visitors not normally based in the catchment area of the airport

– People living within the catchment area of the airport

– Local business owners and employees making a buseiness-related journey

The survey will run for several weeks and the findings will be made available through the SPARA newsletter in due course.
